There are a handful of regulars that barely keep it open with the help of private parties and renting out the former club steward's tied house.
They regularly have a "disco" and live music in the bar which in the small space leaves your head ringing and ears bleeding.
Gone are the days of cheap club beer and even the happy hour is at such an unreasonable time it benefits only the select few. The Sunday hours that went out in the 1980s has been reintroduced here and closes at 10:30 pm.
Very few of the local residents hold membership, which is sad, because it has so much potential, in the right hands, to be an excellent social space for the locals.
It has reasonable off road parking for approximately 17 cars.
The current committee is poorly staffed and poorly supported.
